Accessibility Statement
1. Introduction
BBG Fashion GmbH (hereinafter referred to as: ‘Monari’) does its utmost to make and keep its website and mobile applications accessible to everyone in accordance with statutory requirements. These requirements result from Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services, which directive has been implemented by the Dutch Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services (Implementation) Act.
The specific technical measures on this website are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 with conformance levels A and AA.
This accessibility statement applies to the website monari.com.
2. Accessibility status
Monari endeavours to have this website comply as much as possible with the WCAG accessibility guidelines, version 2.2 with conformance levels A and AA, and has taken the four main principles (perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust) as a basis. The website is currently partially accessible, since not all requirements are fully met.
3. Non-accessible parts
a) Technical impediments
- iFrames without titles: embedded content such as maps or external videos have no meaningful titles for screen readers.
- Third-party iFrames: this is content from external sources and might not comply with the accessibility standards – adjustments are beyond our control.
- Incomplete HTML structure: for example, <h1> headings are not used consistently or form fields have not been linked correctly to <label> elements.
b) Content-related barriers
- Insufficient preparation of video and audio content: subtitles, full transcriptions or audio descriptions are often lacking.
- Mix of languages without markup: some English terms or sections have not been marked correctly in the code.
c) Issues with colour and design
Limited scalability for enlarged text: if a text is enlarged considerably without adjusting the window size, this may cause overlaps or incomplete representations. This mainly affects navigation areas and interactive elements such as forms. Solutions to fix these issues have been scheduled.
d) (Older) video content
Videos that were posted on the website before 28 June 2025 do not need to be changed in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/882.
- Older videos without subtitles or audio descriptions: videos published before 28 June 2025 might not have accessible functionalities. Where possible, new videos are published with subtitles and accessible functionalities.
- Videos without audio tracks that are decorative in purpose: these videos are not made accessible.
- Please contact us if you need help with older video content.
